DANISI ENGINEERING

On July 24th and 25th, we hosted the first “Steering Systems Drive Days” organized by Danisi Engineering in collaboration with Thyssenkrupp and supported by Automobili Pininfarina. This event was all about showcasing the latest steering technologies and solutions already in production or advanced development, aimed at offering top-tier car manufacturers the highest performance levels.

At the “Misto Alfa” track in Balocco, within the Stellantis Proving Ground, technical managers, performance engineers and professional drivers from various prestigious OEMs had the opportunity to test the 1900-horsepower Automobili Pininfarina Battista hypercar. Equipped with Danisi Engineering’s EPS solution, specifically designed for superior driving feel and control under extreme conditions, this experience truly highlighted the potential of our advanced systems.

One of the highlights was the joint development effort with engineers from Automobili Pininfarina and Thyssenkrupp, which allowed us to achieve a perfect balance of vehicle dynamics while also reducing project timelines and costs. This success is driven by Danisi Engineering’s proprietary development methodology, which leverages advanced simulation and “hardware-software-driver-in-the-loop” activities at our state-of-the-art Advanced Vehicle Dynamic Center.

Innovation didn’t stop there. Participants were also excited to test the Volkswagen Golf R equipped with a new Thyssenkrupp’s “steer-by-wire”. This prototype demonstrated how this solution integrates advanced vehicle control logic, enhancing both safety and driving pleasure.

Throughout the event, our guests engaged in insightful debriefing sessions where they explored key topics with engineers from Danisi Engineering and Thyssenkrupp, such as performance scenarios, development costs and timelines, manufacturing and quality certification processes, and the implementation of digital twins and validation plans.

We want to extend our gratitude to all the brands and participants for their enthusiasm and collaboration, and a special thanks to our partners Thyssenkrupp, Automobili Pininfarina, and the team at Stellantis Balocco Proving Ground. Together, we are driving the future of automotive innovation!
